Travel Medicine Program

Are you an adventurer or someone who must travel as part of your career? No matter the reason, it is important to make sure you have the appropriate vaccinations before traveling abroad. That is why the St. Mary’s Travel Medicine Program offers an extensive array of vaccinations – all with the goal to make sure you are safe in your travels.

St. Mary's Medical Center and our participating physician offices have experience working with many travel vaccinations and stay current on all of the latest guidelines and recommendations from the World Health Organization (WHO). These offices have also all agreed on the following terms to accommodate patients who require vaccinations:

• Appointments the same or next business day
• Allow cash/credit card payment but also consider courtesy insurance billing
• Offer the latest printed information from WHO and CDC
• Provide counseling for travel risk and vaccinations
• Discuss jet lag and altitude medicines
• Discuss health care contingencies in other countries
• Standard travel vaccinations available same or next business day

NOTE:
Travel vaccinations are sometimes covered by insurance. So please contact your insurer prior to your appointment. Also, because this Program is offered through participating private physician practices, their rates and services may vary. Physician practices are listed in no particular order.

For more information, please visit the World Health Organization’s website at http://www.who.int/ith/en/ and the Centers for Disease Control website at http://wwwnc.cdc.gov/travel/
