Intensive Care Unit

St. Mary's Intensive Care Unit is a 22 bed unit equipped with state-of-the-art monitoring equipment and one negative pressure room designated to the care of the patient requiring respiratory isolation.

The all-Registered Nurse staff holds BLS and ACLS certifications and many hold the CCRN Certification from the American Association of Critical Care Nursing. Staffing is based upon 1:1 or 1:2 depending on the level of the patient's illness. A charge nurse is available on all shifts to coordinate staffing and patient care.
