Giving Opportunities
You may direct your contribution based on your personal interests. You can choose to support services such as cancer care, cardiology services, emergency services, nursing education, adolescent psychiatric care or charity care. In the coming year, the Foundation's top funding priorities are: 1. State-of-the-art Cancer Center which will offer comprehensive care to help patients win the battle against cancer. 2. New Vascular Suite that will bring together doctors from three specialties: cardiology, radiology and vascular surgery to provide the best diagnosis and treatment available. 3. The promise to provide medical care for the needy and disenfranchised.

Online via Credit Card
Yes, you can do this right now while you’re online. Click on Donate now to St. Mary's. It’s secure and takes only a few minutes to make a lasting gift.
Gifts of Stock
A win-win-win. With a gift of appreciated stock, you may save capital gains tax, receive an income tax deduction and benefit St. Mary’s. Typically, a donor is eligible to deduct the full fair market value of long-term appreciated securities. The gift is deductible up to 30% of adjusted gross income with an option to carry the deduction over five years. Gifts by Mail
Please send your check, made payable to St. Mary’s Medical Center Foundation, to our mailing address: St. Mary’s Medical Center Foundation Some employers offer to match an employee's charitable gifts. Please check with your employer to determine if they offer a matching gift program.
A Gift in Honor or Memory
You can make a gift in memory of a loved one or in celebration of a special occasion such as a birthday or anniversary. You can also make a gift in honor of a doctor or nurse who cared for you. When you make a memorial or tribute gift, the Foundation will send a letter to the person or family you designate to notify them of your contribution. The amount you give is confidential.
Naming St. Mary’s in Your Will
A bequest is perhaps the best-known way of creating a legacy to benefit future generations through your philanthropy. You may designate any type of property: cash, stock or real estate. In your will, you may leave St. Mary’s a specific dollar amount, a percentage of your estate or a residual of your estate after taking care of other beneficiaries. If you are considering leaving a gift to St. Mary’s in your will, please contact the Foundation at (415) 750-5790 to ensure that your gift is properly designated so it will benefit St. Mary’s as you intend. If you have already named us in your will, please let us know so that we can recognize your generosity.
